Band
The band was formed in December 2001 in Leiria by António Cova (vocals, acoustic guitar & lyrics) and Schmitt (electric guitar). The Assacínicos (name of a previous draft Cova) complete the band four months later with Mathiew (bass), Cyborg (keyboards) and Portela (drums and formerly keyboardist of Sheep Evil Dead). The quintet recorded the demo with the subjects: "Opens the Door I Love", "Kill me in bed", "70's Afternoon" (name given to the rehearsal room that still accepts them) and "Not I Die". Following is the promotion of live recording, especially at festivals and competitions of Modern Music. In October 2004 Metamorphosis / Tailpieces launches debut album, "Nobody knows ... but I have fear", subject of conflicting reactions. Beloved by some and hated by others, already with Schmitt in place of P.A., Assacínicos embark on national tour in mid-2005. From April of the following year and mid-2007, the band recorded the new album "... It was your entire fault" at Soundworks Studio. The subject "Terminal Phase" was captured in the Blue Phase Studio and during this period is recorded the video for "Hot Cups", theme included in the debut album. However Mathiew abandoned, giving way to returning Schmitt, now in charge of four strings. The musician still as time to record the bass lines to the song titled and P.A. recorded the lowest of the remaining parts. The band then released from the bond to Metamorphosis / Tailpieces, choosing to self-edit the new disk. In 2009 the band dissolved.
